Hyde Business Park
Client: Peter and Paul De Campo
Architect: Simon Stokes
Utilising an unused industrial site in Melbourne’s growing inner west, works included the construction of 40 new warehouse shells including mezzanine spaces and two-level warehouse/showroom spaces. The site was sloping from Hyde Street towards the docks and required a large amount of civil works and new services infrastructure to service the 40 new warehouse shells. The land was originally contaminated - including old ship fuel oil tanks and asbestos, hence land remediation involved environmental consultants and the EPA in the development of a management plan to remediate and/or encapsulate the hazardous materials.
